What is World’s Best Workforce?
The World's Best Workforce (WBWF) was developed in 2013 (Minnesota Statutes, section 120B.11) to ensure that school districts and charter schools in Minnesota enhance student achievement through teaching and learning supports. School boards that govern districts and charter schools are required to develop comprehensive, long-term strategic plans that address the following four WBWF goals:
All children are ready for school.
All racial and economic achievement gaps between students are closed.
All students are ready for career and college.
All students graduate from high school.
World's Best Workforce Plan
Each district is required to create their own plan to align curriculum and instruction so that students are college and career ready. The success of Laura Jeffrey Academy’s plan will be measured by:

Fastbridge scores
Closing the achievement gap by student group
MCA scores
Laura Jeffrey Academy works closely with our authorizer (Osprey Wilds) to determine the goals for our World’s Best Workforce Plan. LJA staff review data to identify areas of opportunity and utilize the data to inform instruction.
World's Best Workforce Annual Meeting
Under Minnesota Statutes, Section 120B.11, school districts are required to hold an annual meeting regarding progress made toward World’s Best Workforce (WBWF) goals. During the Annual Meeting, the District presents the WBWF goals and results, along with strategies and initiatives that the District engaged in to meet the goals.
